The 6th grade students at Chinese American International School had a lovely art show at the Reaves Gallery across the street from the school - at235 Gough Street - on Thursday, November 20, and since many parents didn't get the memo about it, I'm posting these photos of your children's work for your viewing pleasure.
Marc Peron, the kids' art teacher, organized the exhibit with gallery owner Sharon Reaves, a gracious and lovely woman who clearly enjoyed hosting the event. I'm not sure of all of the details about how this event came about, but I believe the exhibit was part of an evening put on by the 7th and 8th grade to show off the visual and musical art they'd been working on during the first trimester. In addition to the 6th graders' work, Marc displayed the 8th graders' self-portraits, some of which you can view below.
